how can i go about doing an 8th grade science fair project about...?We Answered:
I have had pet lizards, so I know something about their habits. Different species are different, of course. But I have an idea. Why not record the temperature of the place your lizard is sitting several times a day, including at least one at night.
You know that lizards, being cold blooded, move around in order to control their body temperature. And most of them want to be warmer in the daytime than at night; and especially they want to be warmer after eating. You should already have your lizard's enclosure set up with heat in part of it, and cooler in another part, so it can regulate its temperature at will. Lizards don't usually eat every day, so it will be interesting to see its temperature preferences on different days and at different times, after eating and when it hasn't eaten, etc.
Get several little thermometers and place them on the ground in different parts of the cage, and on any perches or shelves where the lizard rests also. Then measure the temperature where it's resting when you wake up, after school, in the evening, and just before you go to bed. Record also what days and times the lizard eats.
Science Fair people like experiments, and this is an experiment, fairly simple to do. Hopefully you can find some cheap thermometers the pet store or someplace.

How do you improve on a desalination science fair project? We Answered:
Vary the concentration of salt in the input and find out the concentration in the output keeping everything else constant. Make a plot of the ratio of output concentration to input concentration as a function of input concentration. If you are ambitious, you can repeat at two other temperatures.Leroy Said:
science fair projects for high school? We Answered:
Train mice. Do something similar to what Pavlov did with his dogs, but with mice. It would be fun and educational. If you need me to describe it to you, just ask!!Brad Said:
