Online College Computer Science

Evelyn Said:

what is a good online college for computer science?

We Answered:

My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.
This site has some good info on regionally accredited online degrees and some colleges that offer them to help expand your search:

I think you can enter your info on there for any colleges you are interested in and they will send you more info for free. Good Luck!

what is the best online college to enroll in for computer science?

If Carnegie Mellon still offers a bachelors in CS online, they'd be my #1 pick. They are an amazing CS school, very well respected - and they used to have this degree online. You'd want to check.

If not them, then I'd have you look at the well respected CS degrees, offered online via U Maryland, Drexel, and Arizona State.

Cal State Chico, U Hawaii, Mercy College, Liberty U, Daniel Webster College, all offer a bachelors in CS, but I'd have you look at the other colleges first. U Maryland is the star on that list. CM, if they still offer the degree online - that'd be *amazing*.

Online college classes while in high school?

We Answered:

It depends on your state and your school as well.
The best person to talk to would be a guidance counselor or perhaps an administrator.

If you happen to live in GA, there is gavirtualschool.org.
Be aware that financial aid is more than often not available or offered, and such programs can be costly-- so be prepared to discuss this with your parents about whether it is an option.
