Accredited Online Mba Programs

Tyrone Said:

Are there any real/accredited MBA programs online?

We Answered:

The Official MBA Guide can give you a list of distance learning programs, and the programs indicate their accreditation. AACSB accreditation is the most respected. You can limit your search to AACSB schools with distance learning programs.

Eileen Said:

Looking for an AACSB Accredited online MBA program.... Have you done an online MBA?

We Answered:

Other schools that offer online MBAs, and which are AACSB accredited, include:
- Rensselaer Polytechnic
- Carnegie Mellon
- Thunderbird
- Duke (I think. They used to.)
- UMaryland
- Penn State

As for interaction with fellow students, etc. - most of the programs I've looked at do have forums and other ways to interact with fellow students and the professor. But what they offer, exactly, varies with the school, so this is something you'll need to investigate for each one. They seem to try to mimic the in-person MBA experience as much as they can, electronically. For example, RPI has forums, and they even have a few classes that require you to come to campus for a couple of days - so you'd meet your fellow students.

Most professors seem to have certain hours where they can be found online, like office hours. You can also email the professor or fellow students to discuss problems you're stuck on, etc.

It's not as solitary as you'd think. But do ask each program about this sort of thing, because I agree - it's important.

Olga Said:

Anyone in an accredited online MBA program?

We Answered:

There's a list here --> http://geteducated.com/rankings/best_mba… some are really good schools.

They don't have Jacksonville State on this list which is surprising since Jax is relatively inexpensive, 100% online, and AACSB accredited.

Micheal Said:

What is the online MBA program (accredited by AACSB) that waives the GMAT if you have a 2.75 or better UGPA?

We Answered:

There are no AACSB accredited programs that give a waiver on the GMAT. One of the requirements of the AACSB is that every admitted candidate submit a GMAT score within 5 years of the class start date.
