Does anyone know where I can find a wookbook for math from 3rd grade to 12th grade?

You could try hitting the library and studying from the GED study guides they have there. They're pretty comprehensive. Good luck! I am the WORST at math, so I feel ya!

Carrie Said:

What opportunities after high school would one miss out on for not taking grade 12 math?

We Answered:

Few colleges require four years of math, although many colleges recommend it. To be admitted to a highly competitive college or university it is a definite advantage to have four years of high school math. You will need four years of high school math to do well in most college science classes except those designated for non-majors in math and science.

If you want a career in law, university or high school teaching of a subject other than math or science, elementary or middle school teaching, arts, and a few other fields, you do not need to take math in college unless the college has a math requirement for graduation. If it does, it usually offers a one-semester class at the high school level to fulfill the requirement.

If you want to go on for any other career, you will probably need college math and it will be much more difficult if you have not had four years of high school math. You might even have to take remedial math in college.

(I decided in high school to pursue a career in law and I dropped the fourth year of high school math after two weeks. I do not enjoy math and it is not my best subject. I have never regretted not knowing trigonometry, analytical geometry, or calculus and have never had a need to know any of them.)

11th/12th grade math. Can you solve?

We Answered:

Question 1

Volume is: area of the base x height of prism
In this case: (area of circle) x height
(Pi x radius x radius) x height
(3.142 x 4 x 4) x 7
351.904
352 (3 sig fig)

Question 2

sin (theta _ angle) = 4/5
sin theta = 0.8
theta = 53.1 (2nd function sin and then 0.8)

So: Tan (theta)
tan 53.1 = 39.89
= 39.9 (3 sig fig)

Question 3

to find the total number, you have to find the 100 percent value.

100 on 24 x 6 = 25

Find now 24 percent of 25 and you will get 6

To minor in computer science at the University of Ottawa, must I need 12th grade math?

We Answered:

yeah Canada!!!, I too might be going to university of ottawa and from what i understand, you do not need to take any maths to minor in it although you must to major in it and might have to take a university math while in it unless you take a highschool math, That being said, I do not believe it is necessary to have a math, I don't have one and plan on minoring in computer science at university of Ottawa aswell.
